** Thursday 11 August - £8.50 or £9.00 - performance : c.7pm
2 choices for this one: The Bicycle Men (COMEDY) or Les Liaisons Dangereuses (THEATRE)

The Bicycle Men - £9.00 - 7.20pm
A hapless American tourist crashes his bicycle and encounters the twisted inhabitants of a sinister French village. Sublimely silly musical comedy. 'Howlingly funny... unmissable' Chicago Tribune. 'Gleeful Francophobia' New York Times. 'C'est magnifique!' LA Weekly. Comes to Edinburgh following a New York Fringe Best Overall Production Award, a Critics Choice from Time Out NY and rave reviews from the New York Times, LA Weekly and the Chicago Tribune.
Les Liaisons Dangereuses - £8.50 - 7pm
Christopher Hampton's acclaimed adaptation of Laclos's tale of sex, intrigue and deceit. This production is stirringly re-set against the backdrop of Nazi-occupied Paris. Nazi seediness and Vichy cynicism lend explosive dimensions to this dynamic exploration of sexual excess.
** Thursday 18 August - £7.45 - performance : 7pm
6pm    Meet at the Filmhouse for a drink
7pm    Gamblers (Les Mauvais Joueurs)
Frederic Balekdijan / France / 2005 / 85 min
Love across racial divides - with a twist - in one of the discoveries of the year.
** Thursday 25 August - £8.00 or £10 - 8.10pm or 9.15pm
Re the film festival, sadly 36 Quai des Orfèvres is sold out for that date - you can still catch up with it on Friday 19th! (and Ghosts is in Glasgow on that day!)

So the choice is between the life of Edith Piaf or comedians Priorité à gauche....

Piaf - £8.00 - 8.10pm
Chanteuse to drug addict to lover extraordinaire, Piaf's life was full of passion and contradictions. Troika Productions proudly present this controversial biopic of the famous French singer. A Tragedy! A Comedy! A Passion! A Diva! The Little Sparrow! Piaf!
